Wasn't it stated in The Jedi Path that Juyo can shred through the defenses of Soresu? I don't browse Legends much at all these days, so I could be mistaken.

Gillard's tiering system also has Palpatine well above Kenobi in saber combat, iirc.

To be fair, since some people now believe that Vader>Sidious in lightdaber combat (in canon), doesn't that make ANH Obi-Wan at least somewhat equal to Sidious in sabers?

If he can hang with Vader, why not with Sidious?

Canon makes it clear that Kenobi had absolutely no chance of beating Vader in ANH.

Anyway, in Legends, it might be possible that Kenobi would be one shoted by palpatine, even in sabers. Or alone would do as well as Kit supported by Windu. A one-sided fight anyway.
