Cops be like, "Stop resisting!"

So in genuine cases of resisting arrest, you agree that is a consequence they chose though right?
I think that the punishment for resisting arrest should not be being shot or worse killed. If someone is killed by police it should automatically trigger an investigation and the sole excuse of "they were resisting arrest" should not be sufficient to not face consequences.

That's lovely, but applying the specific logic Adam has brought up a person who resisted arrested and got killed would have brought it upon themselves.
"When you choose the behavior, you choose the consequences".
So a person choosing to resist arrest who ends up dead? Chose that.
Whether or not he realized the implications of his logic when he said it? I don't know(doubtful given how he dodged my questions instead of standing firm behind his own logic).
I disagree with that logic, tbh. You could just extend that to anything really. Resisting arrest, like I said, should not lead to death, if it does lead to death and there's no other reason (like actual substantiated, reasonable fear for the officer's life) then the bulk of fault lies with the killer, imo.
Yeah, I don't think a gun should be the first thing a cop goes to use upon someone resisting arrest. Unless the cops suspect the person is armed.
And I'll guarantee you Adam would never in a million years be consistent and apply his logic to someone resisting arrest. I feel that was pretty evident when he tried to pivot to essentially saying the idea people resist arrest is a myth(i laughed and laughed, and laughed some more)
Adam also doesn't seem to think one is an idiot unless your actions result in you contracting the virus. It's how he deflected from calling the people attending george floyd protests idiots.
So to once again use his logic: a person who drives drunk is only an idiot if they get in a car accident. If you knowingly f*ck a hooker with aids and don't use a condom it's only stupid if you get aids. Playing russian roulette is only dumb if you die, etc.

It is very telling that you think the natural and expected consequence of resisting arrest is murder.
If someone does not wear a face covering, he risks inhaling respiratory droplets containing viral particles.
The virus is indiscriminate, and infects because that is what it does.
Likewise, your entire argument is contingent upon police officers indiscriminately murdering people, because that is what they do.
You either have a bad opinion of police officers or a very low standard for them.

Wrong. Idiocy is idiocy irrespective of whether one experiences consequences for it. However, simple causality dictates that stupid thoughts lead to stupid behavior, which produces stupid results. Therefore, no one should feel sorry for people who produced the expected results that arise from their thoughts and actions. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
