Because you don't understand the issue.

I'll illustrate with an unrelated example:

A five year old child has brain cancer. It is operable, and has a 95 percent success and survival rate. The parents refuse to allow the operation.

Should the child be taken by child protective services, and the operation done against the parents wishes, or not?

That isn't the issue. That comparison is rubbish and as far from the point as is possible to get.

Not at all.

You're arguing about outcomes. I'm saying outcomes do not matter.

Either bodily autonomy is sacrosanct or it is not. If it is not, all it takes is one bad faith actor with power over the public, to abuse the public trust.

That's cdtm 😂

I'll answer my own question.

No, you don't take the kid and perform treatment. The kid dies.

The alternative leaves the door open for a true Nazi like regime to force poison on citizens in the form of "public good", as they have in the past.

It may seem harsh, but it's about slippery slopes. You don't give an inch of liberty, so there isn't a chance of someone taking a mile of blood later.

The reason your comparison doesnt work is because your example would be a one off situation. Also because the parents would have to pay the medical bills, which obviously cant be forced on them. Third any operation can be dangerous and the child can not make their own decision.

Comparing that to everyone being asked to put on a mask and take 1 extra vaccine (everyone already takes plenty of vaccines as a kid), to help with a global pandemic, so the whole world can operate as normally as possible again, is pretty strange.

Not that the vaccine is being forced on people.

Also what any of that has to do with mainly the right being more arrogant on the issue is beyond me. They clearly are free to be anti-vaccine and then to die, as has been shown on this thread plenty of times.

It may come as a surprise to some people but getting or not getting an operation isn't a transmissible contagious condition that can adversely affect many other people.

DT mate he is just trilling. He is offering nothing.

"a 5 year old has covid, and the parents refuse to keep them hope from school, because free-dumb. the entire class gets infected. one dies. why did that child really need to die, just because that one child's jerkoff parents equated common sense with slavery?"

there, that's better

It's only a few cases. We've got it totally under control. Better than anyone. Ask anyone they'll tell ya. No one has it more under control. We've done a fantastic job. Everyone's saying we've done the best.

Remember though. Government intervention to save babies in the womb = good. Government intervention to save babies outside the womb = tyranny.

The absolute ridiculous amount of hoops they fly through is like they’re playing Superman 64

NYT Interviews Hospitalized Anti-Vaxxers

COVID-19 patients on ventilators hospitalized in the Ozark Mountains have voiced regret about not getting vaccinated against the virus.

In a video published on The New York Times over the weekend, patients at a hospital in Mountain Home, Arkansas spoke of their experience with COVID-19 and their decision not to get vaccinated.

Christopher Green, 53, told The Times that he opted not to get vaccinated to protect his individual freedoms.

"I probably should have had a little healthier fear," he said. "It needs to be taken more seriously. I mean, I don't know how close I am to being a lot worse."

Green died nine days after he was interviewed by The Times.

Another woman, who was not identified, said she was upset at herself for not getting vaccinated.

"I've never hurt like I've hurt," she said. "It's made a believer out of me."

Mountain Home's Baxter County has a vaccination rate of 37% compared to the nation's 51.5% of people being fully-vaccinated, according to The Times.

saw this a few days ago. There was a woman who said she won’t wear a mask, nor force it upon others.

She did not look healthy.

One of the challenges that the Ozarks/SW MO faced early on in the delta variant is that Branson MO opened up and it's one of the most driven to destinations in the midwest so it was pelted by people all over and not just it's native population.

That's just how the boogeyman rolls though.

i don't know which thread this belongs in, or if it should be its own thread. arizona frauditors missed their deline because they were also giving each other covid, and there are hospializations. I'm sure they'll be okay since they were probably vaccina--oh wait... #thoughtsandprayers

I think it is just a delay tactic, because they are ****ed.

Dennis Prager: "Your Doctor Knows Nothing, Listen to Me Instead and Get Horse Paste"

"Why should doctors be any better than lawyers, or professors, or any other group that has disgraced itself in American life? There's no reason. Doctors have the same degree of wisdom as gender studies professors. The issue isn't medical knowledge. The issue is wisdom and courage.

Your doctor knows nothing about COVID, nothing. All they know is how the virus works, that's all they know. It is an amazing thing that listening to this show, of a non-doctor, you have learned more about COVID, more about masks, than your doctor probably knows.

Not only is it not a boast, it is totally meant to be an attack on the medical profession. I should not know ten times more than your doctor about all of the issues with therapeutics.

And if your doctor thinks ivermectin is dangerous, change your doctor. And I mean it. Might be a nice guy, go golfing with him, or her. But check out another doctor."

—Dennis Prager, on his show today.

I hate prager

So we're adding doctors to the ever growing list of groups of people being attacked by people with a retarded and increasingly paranoid political ideology.

That makes teachers, academics, scientists, nurses, doctors and increasingly law enforcement as well. Won't be long before they turn on the armed forces personnel who get vaccinated rather than quit their jobs. They're even turning on Fox News hosts, Republican politicians and now Trump himself after him encouraging people to get the vaccine.
