Bob has receive about a hundred suggestions already; they often conflict with one another, and being exhausted, Bob has asked his staff to just block the email of anyone sending along a COVID treatment suggestion. So, Bob loves you too much. He doesn't want to lose email friends. So please honor his wish. Even if it meant he and Cheryl would die, they just don't want any more COVID treatment recommendations."

On Tuesday, a Florida county Republican committee that had opposed measures to prevent COVID-19 informed the Federal Election Commission that the group may not be able to submit a filing because its bookkeeper died from the virus. "For several years we have been submitting the reports electronically, and for over a year, we have done this with software developed by one of our members, Gregg Prentice" the Hillsborough County Republican Executive Committee wrote the FEC.

"Unfortunately, Gregg passed away suddenly from COVID-19 on Saturday. Gregg did not share the software and instructions with our officers." The committee has taken a hard line against COVID-19 prevention protocols, urging its Facebook followers to oppose mask mandates, vaccination requirements, and lockdowns. On August 27th, the committee honored Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene at its sold-out Lincoln Day Dinner.

The Tennessee Poison Center has seen a dramatic increase in calls for people experiencing issues after taking ivermectin for COVID-19.

Many of those calls were for people accidentally getting the drug on their skin, Dr. Rebecca Bruccoleri said.

"It can cause GI upset, it can cause neurological symptoms too," Dr. Bruccoleri said. "We've been seeing people who have been having altered mental states because of this come in, so this can be a serious ingestion."

Arizona's largest health system is warning the public against using the antiparasitic drug ivermectin to treat or prevent COVID-19.

Misuse of ivermectin has led to 30 calls managed by Banner Health's Poison and Drug Information Center this year, including 10 cases in August, according to data from the Phoenix-based nonprofit health system. At least seven cases have resulted in hospitalization, health system officials said.

"That is the bare minimum. We expect that there are probably more adverse effects," said Dr. Daniel Brooks, medical director for Banner Health's Poison and Drug Information Center.

A teenage city council member in Morgan County, Alabama who tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday after railing against mask mandates said he is now battling coronavirus-related pneumonia in the hospital.

"I am still shallow in breathing but my oxygen remains okay for now," Decatur City Councilman Hunter Pepper, 19, wrote on Facebook Thursday. He received a CT scan on Wednesday night that confirmed he has COVID pneumonia, "which is absolutely terrible," he wrote.

Pepper wrote that he was "terrified" by the way that the media "continues to report on COVID-19 and explains 'death' each time they do," adding that he has "faith in the Lord."

R. Loren Sandford, lead pastor at the nondenominational New Song Church and Ministries in Denver, Colorado died Friday due to complications from COVID-19. Sandford was 70.

According to the church's Facebook page, Sandford had languished for weeks in the hospital with COVID. For several years, Sandford was a regular writer and columnist for Charisma online.

At the time, he shared the coalition's views that government shutdowns and mandates were ruining businesses and threatening individual liberties.

"They were talking about vaccine passports and vaccine mandates and it seemed like it was over-the top totalitarianism and control," Wikoff said. But earlier this month, he and his wife tested positive with COVID amid a surge of the Delta variant.

"We were told the COVID virus was not that deadly. It was nothing more than a little flu. I can tell you it's more than a little flu," he said. Wikoff, 66, still needs help breathing. He thinks he got infected during a church event in August.

A California mother of four who was "proudly" anti-vaccine, particularly anti-COVID-19 vaccine, died of complications due to the coronavirus. Kristen Lowery, 40, was a figurehead on social media, proclaiming her anti- mask and vaccine views that garnered high praise.

Lowery's sister Cassie wrote on Facebook before her death that she was "fighting for her life against COVID and pneumonia."

"My sister has a long life left," Cassie wrote in a since-deleted post.

Since her death, Lowery's Facebook account—which features a profile picture of her with the caption "unmasked, unmuzzled, unvaccinated, unafraid . . . together we win"―has gone private.

Lowery reportedly had hundreds of thousands of followers across multiple platforms. Her family, of course, has posted a plea for donations on GoFundMe.

Another visitor to Hawaii has been arrested for using a fake vaccine card to fly to the islands. On the card was one major error that was a red flag for authorities: "Moderna" was misspelled as "Maderna."

State investigators said they received a tip that 24-year-old Chloe Mrozak of Oak Lawn, Illinois may have uploaded the false documents under the state's Safe Travels Program to bypass traveler quarantine rules.

Alaho, genius. An Illinois woman who used a fake proof of vaccination card upon which "Moderna" is misspelled, now has a warrant out for her arrest after skipping a virtual court date with a judge in Hawaii.

Chloe Mrozak, 24, missed a Wednesday hearing where she would have had the opportunity to explain why she used a falsified card claiming she had been inoculated with "Maderna" to bypass the island's 10-day mandatory quarantine requirement.

Authorities said she also gave false information as to where she had be staying, and possibly spreading deadly germs during her vacation, and was unreachable. The card said Mrozak's shots were administered by the National Guard, but she allegedly told police at the airport she had paid her doctor for the vaccination, which is free.

But getting covid has not changed Garrison's mind about modern medical science: "We're taking Ivermectin and various vitamins including a lot of Zinc. We will never take their foul spike protein-producing jabs, which are neither safe nor effective. They're not real vaccines. They're gene therapy."

A wave of misinformation touting the deworming drug ivermectin as a COVID treatment appears to be showing no signs of abating, with calls about the drug to poison control centers surging, and officials in New Mexico saying misuse of the medication contributed to at least two deaths.

Federal health authorities have repeatedly warned COVID patients not to take the drug, which is an anti-parasite medication most commonly used on livestock. But those warnings have done little to curb the drug's popularity.

The two who died—at 38 and 79 years old—had COVID-19 and had taken ivermectin, said Dr. David R. Scrase, the acting head of the state health department. He said the drug had contributed to both deaths, causing kidney failure in one of the patients.
