Yup. Six suns is more than one. Very clever.
He went through one tiny sun. Wanted more. Hit up six (as shown by the clever use of BOOM so we knew Superman went through it), spending tiny amounts of time in each of those six.

YES It's normal, there's zero indication that the planet was somehow any different, since we're going by what's stated in the comic show me where it was stated that planet was different.
