I think the end is like that but more. Like after anackin or Vader destroys all of the remaining jedi. there are only 5 good people left. Obi-wan Mace Windu, yoda, Luke and Liea. They are in a hangar bay and all of a sudden Vader appears and his master Sidious. Now all of them are running away and there is a ship but they need to buy some time to get it up and operational. So Master Windu says he will sacrifice his life to do so. As long as Luke and Liea will be safe. Windu starts the battle taking on vader and then sidious jumps in. He is holding his ground but is tireing. The ship is finally operational and unfortunitly they take off and Master Windu has nothing more else to say because he dies and becomes one with the force.
I think it would be cool to have the ending seen with Darth Sidious looking out of a window looking over his "army" with a evil little smile on his face. Then doors open behind him , and we start to hear the infamous "breathing" of Darth Vader as he joins the Emperor at the window to see their Empire "born"
Re: Ep 3
I'm fairly sure the following things will happen in Ep III:
* He will be in "Vader" mode for a good third to half of the movie.
* The infamous "Volcano fight scene" with Obi-Wan will take place.
* He will believe Padme to be dead, but I don't believe she dies in this one, as Leia has memories of her. Of course, that might be ignored a teensy bit by Lucas, and she might die in this one... but I am bankinh against it. Perhaps she leaves him because of his continuing corruption.
* I am fairly sure that we'll find out that the reason the Jedi Council haven't been able to figure out that Palpatine is Sidious whilst sitting right in front of him much of the time, is that "Palpatine" is in face Sidious' clone.
* For someone who said that it will end with a shot of the birth of the empire.... that's how Ep II ended. THAT was the Empire being born right there. Imperial Theme and all. Remember that Palpatine doesn't disband the senate until the beginning of "A New Hope," but it is clear that it's kicking into "Empire" mode already.
* Episode III is going to have Anakin/Vader killing a lot of Jedi is what is going to happen. Lucas himself has been quoted as saying that this movie will be so dark that he doesn't know how some fans are going to take it. So it isn't going to be happy and fluffy.
*With Peter Mahew slated to be in the movie, I believe the Wookiee homeworld will be taken over in this one. We'll probably see them being used as slaves to construct the Death Star.
* And I'm not saying this WILL happen, but it would not surprise me if the Death Star is test-fired on Naboo. It certainly would explain the lack of Gungans in later movies.... and I think Lucas might have ben planning this all along.

Yeah she does have memories but she says that she died when she was very young. I think that yoda already knows that Palpatine is hiding something because he is weary of him at the beginning of episode 2. I agree with you about Peter Mayhew being in the third one, but i heard that a young Han Solo was to be in it as well. And the Death Star does not fire on the planet Naboo because in A new Hope the first shot that the Death Star fired to make it operational was on the planet of Alderan to try and make Leia talk about the Rebel Base. But it would be good to see it test fire on the planet Naboo though.
I am fairly sure that we'll find out that the reason the Jedi Council haven't been able to figure out that Palpatine is Sidiouswe kind of know this
that's how Ep II ended. THAT was the Empire being born right there. Imperial Theme and allVery good, just have the same opinion about that
, but it would not surprise me if the Death Star is test-fired on NabooThey tested it on Alderaan as glenn pointed out
Actually, Alderaan wasn't -necessarily- the first thing the Death Star was fired upon. First of all, Lucas has been fairly prone to contradict himself at times in the movie dialogue, whether by chance or design. If we went simply by Ep IV, then we'd assume that Vader LITERALLY killed Luke's father. In Ep IV, Tarkin was already aware that the battle-station was operational. BUT, thinking about it again, I suppose if they destroyed Naboo first, then word would have spread rather quickly, so that might put a damper on my little theory. So Alderaan is likely, as you say, the first-ever target of the Death Star.
As for the Dark Side clouding everything, you're right. But I still maintain that -- at this moment -- Sidious has cloned himself and that is who he is using as his stand-in within the republic. It makes a lot of sense, and when the Jedi are finally taken care of fully (or sooner, for that matter), he can just do away with his own clone and step in as if he'd been there all along. It's just a HUNCH, mind you.... but I'd be surprised if Sidious hadn't cloned himself, so that he could orchestrate his nastiness from behind the scenes. 🙂
