Would Qui-Gon have joined Dooku??

During AOTC Dooku mentions that he wished Qui-Gon were still alive, and suggests that he could have coerced Qui-Gon to join him because Qui-gon was also starting to be at odds with the Jedi and Republic.

So if Qui-Gon would have still been alive at the time do you think he would have joined Dooku's cause?

I think it's possible. But I also can't see him converting to a Sith.

I think he would've joined him tbh

Qui-Gon was definitely disillusioned with the Jedi(and rightfully so), but he would have never turned away from the light side.

"It matters," Qui-Gon said quietly. "It matters which side we choose. Even if there will never be more light than darkness. Even if there can be no more joy in the galaxy than there is pain. For every action we undertake, for every word we speak, for every life we touch--it matters. I don't turn toward the light because it means someday I'll 'win' some sort of cosmic game. I turn toward it because it is the light."

Is that from new canon?

Yep.

I think he would join Dooku.

Zero chance. He’s one of the most pure characters in the series. He would never join the dark side nor would he be so blind to think Dooku was still good.

Dooku might have joined Qui-Gon.

I can definitely see him leaving the Order at some point, but never becoming a Sith. He also would never support open war against the Republic.

He would be the MLK to Dooku's Malcolm X.

Never.
