He didn't beat J'onn in a "fight". He snuck attacked him. He did beat Superman but that was off panel. Their second fight, Superman did pretty well. Luthor is ftless. Thor kills him with the same hammer throw that went through Galactus.

Love how Herald Thor is given a pass but Apex Luthor needs feats all of a sudden.

WTF losing to Superman is no big deal? The Superman in that arc destroyed a multiverse. Jumped light years while empty an inadvertently destroyed a planet. Just that last feat shits on anything herald Thor has done.
