We can all sit here and say this and that, or how wrong he was, but until we ourselves are put in a similar situation, we shouldn’t judge to harshly.
A meth head spitting at you is just Tuesday morning here. A guy literally spit at me for not having any meth to sell him lol. I moved out the way. He said he'd kick my ass. I welcomed him to try and he walked off mumbling to himself. Admittedly, it was a dick move on my part to egg him on, but I never started kickboxing with him. He was in kicking distance too.
I've actually seen him there multiple times, and he's generally pretty polite. But, he got a shit roll of the dice and is prone to addictive behaviors. Just wished we had some Swiss-styled rehabilitation centers in America. I wonder how many folks we could get off the streets through programs like that.
And Luke has become known as a bit douche-y in the sport. Maybe he's cool in his personal life, but calling her a "thing" repeatedly doesn't help his case.

Agreed. I don't follow these sports at all.

There's a Mormon MMA coach and YouTuber named Ramsey Dewey who's really awesome. Not that means you'll vibe with him, but he could be your introduction. Explains things really well and often just winds up giving great life advice lol. And he generally has a wealth of martial arts knowledge and other things, like dance. Unique viewpoint on lots of things.
But the best part is how he politely calls out bullshit lol. And the self-defense voice overs are great.

He breaks down anime/manga fights too.

yeah got to agree with ST mate, well done on you all for showing restraint. Rockhold though is another level even to most pro fighters, he has a pretty full toolbox and mental people if allowed in the community don't need a guy with his power kicking them. Yeah he is a relatively rounded fighter, who is just a better striker, he has good skills all round.

He started in jiu jutsu. He just happened to be a natural kickboxer too. Although his defensive holes kinda caught up to him later obviously, as Bisping showed us.
