This design sort of highlights the problem with Snyder's work in general: there's no detail on display for the audience that allows you to know anything about who the characters are as people. This design is so flat, it doesn't tell me anything about the character when I look at it. I can only enjoy this if I know about Darkseid before going to see it. There's nothing about his look that let's you know he is the despot leader of a technologically advanced people. He looks like a menacing caveman type character. He doesn't even have a ****ing shirt, for crying out loud. Snyder always leaves story on the floor in favor of a basic concept of who the character is. I just hate this edgelord bullshit, and I wish someone with better storytelling ability was helming this project.
Came across a clip online when the leak stuff was going on yesterday, and saw Deathstroke amongst the team which caught me off guard, though doubt they'll do much with him. Oh, and Amber Heard still present too...
Whenever MCU X-Men stuff happens, hope they eventually get to Apocalypse even more now, to wash away the taste of this Darkseid and 2016 Apoc. ermm
