Awful and yes people do suck but I also wanna say it is possible to turn the computer off. To block that mean person on social media, or indeed to stay off social media at all.

Famous people should hire someone to run their social media so they can stay the f*ck away. It is toxic.

I'm wondering if the thought of suicide wasn't there before this, that seems like such a drastic action for cyberbullying.

I want to say she was probably going through another issue and the cyberbullying was fuel to the fire

To be fair, it's not that simple. In Japan, not having an online presence would have torpedo'd her career. Yeah, she worked the Tokyo Dome, but she wasn't as well paid as some might have thought.

Not everyone can just "turn the machine off" without it having severe consequences.
