Aiding and Abbetting? His training would have been to secure the perimeter.

His training would have been to "serve & protect" the people of his city, he could have yelled at the Chauvin "the suspect is handcuffed and secure, he should be moved to the safety of a squad car"

Even if Chauvin didn't comply, it would have at least been an attempt.

Going forward this is some thing that has to be very heavily flagged in training drills at the academy.

MINNEAPOLIS -- The Justice Department has found that Minneapolis police engaged in a pattern of violating constitutional rights and discriminating against Black and Native American people following an investigation prompted by the killing of George Floyd.

The sweeping two-year civil rights investigation concluded that systemic problems in the Minneapolis Police Department "made what happened to George Floyd possible," the report said.

The investigation found that Minneapolis officers used excessive force, including "unjustified deadly force," and violated the rights of people engaged in constitutionally protected speech.[...]

Remember when Rightist here argued that Floyd's death was his own fault because he was a criminal who tried to pass a fake 20 dollar bill. Robtard remembers.

it's in this thread. like when voltron turned this into another "but antifa" thread. and who could forget that crippled guy...sert or shirt of whatever the fvck his name was:

Rioting over ongoing police violence and murder = Animals and thugs

Rioting and trying to change the results of an election because you just can’t handle that your guy lost = Heroes and patriots

Rightist are cringe

Leftists are Robtarded.

Yet not insurrectionist terrorist 🙂

Well, yeah. You are correct on that.

Ex-Minneapolis officer receives nearly 5 years on state charge for role in George Floyd’s killing

Tou Thao, the last former Minneapolis police officer convicted in state court for his role in the killing of George Floyd, was sentenced Monday to 4 years and 9 months — even as he denied wrongdoing.

Thao had testified that he merely served as a “human traffic cone” when he held back concerned bystanders who gathered as former Officer Derek Chauvin, who is white, knelt on Floyd’s neck for 9 1/2 minutes while the Black man pleaded for his life on May 25, 2020.

A bystander video captured Floyd’s fading cries of “I can’t breathe.” -snip

Enjoy prison.

Derek Chauvin Stabbed by Fellow Inmate

Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer convicted of murdering George Floyd, was stabbed by another inmate on Friday at a federal prison in Arizona.

The attack happened at the Federal Correctional Institution—Tucson, a medium-security prison that has been plagued by security lapses and staffing shortages.

The Bureau of Prisons confirmed that an incarcerated person was assaulted at FCI Tucson at around 12:30 p.m. local time Friday. In a statement, the agency said responding employees contained the incident and performed "life-saving measures" before the inmate, who it did not name, was taken to a hospital for further treatment and evaluation.

Meh, not going to lose sleep over a convicted racist and murderer getting shanked in prison.

Reportedly, he is going to recover.

The thing about serving decades in prison for being a racist and murderer, there's always another shank around the corner.

As a former prison guard, I’m baffled why he was in general population and not protective custody adseg.
