I think you should narrow this down by artist different takes on the same characters. For instances, take Jim Lee’s Superman vs Alex Ross Vs Romita Jr. the first two are beautiful made, while Jr.’s a gag fest.

Alex Ross characters are all greatly drawn. They look mythological.

Well, in-universe, Human Torch is supposed to be fairly attractive isn't he? Gambit as well, although his powers could be argued as helping him.

Captain Steel from Ultra is presumably attractive, but it's hard to tell how much his status helped him there. Superheroes are basically coporate owned pop stars in that world.
