Galaxy Quest was one of those movies that just...snuck up on everyone. We didn't know it would be good. Didn't know it would form a cult following. But it just happened.

It's still solid as a parody, even to today.

Some lists of star trek movies include it. Parody is better than satire most of the time to me because usually parody signals that it loves the source material, while satire seems jaded.
