Did you know that's a logical fallacy?

Description: The belief that if a source is considered trustworthy or untrustworthy, then any information from that source must be true or false, respectively. This is problematic because each argument, claim, or proposition should be evaluated on its own merits.

You should probably turn to a drug addict, but you already seem like you are one.

Such an incredible amount of dumbness in one small post, you have to remember that I know all the details of God-Father-Emperor Peterson the Frog-King and his life, and that I know the whole 'drug addict' line is 100% fabrication and bullshit.

Besides, even if he were a 'drug addict' in the way you're implying (as opposed to developing a physical addiction to pain medication that he was prescribed and took to alleviate his suffering), plenty of drug-addicted musicians and artists have expressed fantastic life advice. I've been an addict myself; physical dependency is ****ing horrible, and not a reason to belittle anyone.

It is not a logical fallacy. If he is a complete failure at leading his own life, how the **** are you going to follow his example? He cannot even follow his own 12 Rules for Life, but you should? Give me a break.

Poor Adam thought he was being funny and clever in his post, two of the things which he’s not.

No thank you. I would rather not be a giant ****ing hypocrite like Peterson.

So he did not go to rehab for opiod addiction? Just because his drugs are prescribed, does not make him better than someone who gets them off the street. That is junkie logic.

And while it is not a reason to belittle someone, it is certainly a reason not to follow their example.

I am not seeing a retort.

Here ill try again. Here is quote from nietzsche, who died of syphilis.

There is a false saying: “How can someone who can’t save himself save others?” Supposing I have the key to your chains, why should your lock and my lock be the same?

If you dont understand this idea and just say "yeah but jorgan pebbersun is hippokrit" then im sorry to say i dont have a third attempt in me.

That is the entire point. He does not have the key to his own chains, let alone anybody else's.

Nietzsche is single handedly responsible for most modern western philosophy. He definitely had the keys to someone's lock otherwise he wouldn't be a household name.

My point here is if im a dumb ass crack head and i say "2 plus 2 equals 4" and you think im wrong because im on crack, you, in this case, would be the dumbass, a sober one but still a dumb ass.

That presumes that "2+2=4" is some unassailable truth to which only you had access, and the person to whom you were saying it did not already know it.

Peterson doesn't assume he has a monopoly on wisdom and you thinking he does tells me you havent watched what he has said, just what others had said of him.

People who do not think they have something to say that has not been said, do not write books telling people how to live their lives.

Listening to Peterson helped me build myself up from a depressed, repressed, suicidal failure into someone who is genuinely happy most of the time, productive, and comfortable in their own skin.

I don't care if he got addicted to opioids. He saved my life.

So being an author means youre a self righteous dick head?
