Don't act like you don't remember DDM... ffs.
You may be shocked but...
I don't read every single post from every single person. About 80% of the time, most threads beyond 2 pages are just back-forth wastes of time.
Edit - You could contribute and just quote someone.
Given they didn't even wait for the investigation to conclude before charging the cop...I can't blame these cops for thinking the city doesn't have their backs anymore.
They bowed to public pressure.

So if he was on probation and feared getting arrested, he was supposed to be killed when he fought back and aimed the taser at the police?
I don't agree with that implied conclusion. He still should not have died. But that explains why he was violent with police. A man doesn't want to be incarcerated.

busting up a union? surely this is something the right and "enlightened centrists" can get behind. solidarity at last!...yes?
The fact that we know unions provide protection for police that break rules/laws then yes, the union contracts need to be busted up and redone. Seems like a simple conclusion based on what I presented from the article.

The implication seems more that, if cops had run his name and realized he was on probation for violent crime it might have influenced their reactions to his violent outburst, his suddenly turning and firing a weapon, etc.
Also, one of the things they charged the guy with was felony murder. It should have been a lesser charge, that charge contains the potential for the death penalty. I think he'll get found guilty and then people will burn the city down.
