New Galactic Map

Other than revealing where the Chiss planet is, there's really no breaking news or anything. Just figured it was worth posting the most recent map of the galaxy.

So I guess the new Canon Galaxy then is gonna stay really small? Interesting, guess it wasn't a typo then.

Also surprised they didn't include Exegol on the new map, given that it looks to be right next door to SKB and Csilla, according to the RoS VD:

You know, it just occurred to me-

Ahch-to appears to be really close to Batuu on this map. So how was Ahco-To "the most unfindable place in the galaxy"??

Because the Unknown Regions are still almost completely unexplored/uncharted. So even though Ahch-To appears to be relatively close to Batuu, 99.999% of the galaxy still wouldn't even know it's there. As has been explained in other novels, trying to explore the UR is pretty much a death sentence, so most(inc. the Republic and Empire) just... Didn't even try.

That being said, I doubt Ahch-To was any more "unfindable" than most other planets in the UR.

Yeah the only people who knew jack shit about the unknown regions are species who came from that sector of space (like Thrawn and the other Chiss)

The rest of the galaxy didn't even try to venture there without some kind of map.

The Empire should have contacted the United Federation of Planets to explore the Unknown Regions.

They would have been killed-off too.
