I didn't see him holding a gun until after he was attacked. I also saw in a video that right before he was attacked he had grabbed some girl that was bumping into him and blocking him, he threw her to the ground.

Then the attacks ensued, he fled, they threatened to kill him.............I'm not a lawyer but it seemed to be defensive when they reassaulted him with multiple attackers.

exactly, no one knew he was tooled up till he shot them. He escalated it in so many ways, it wont save him.
