Unless McCarthy is able to just flip a few people, which is not likely after these three failed attempts, he has two real choices A) Make even crappier deals with unhinged retards like Lauren Boebert or B) Make promises to Democrats for votes
If he tries B), he'll look even weaker in the eyes of most Republicans and Democrats are not likely to deal with him as his word means nothing.
So it seems the new Republican Speaker of the House could be Jim 'I Actively Partook in on the Jan 6th Insurrection' Jordan. This new Republican party is FAR-FAR-FAR to the Right.

could republicans be forced to completely turn away from cult45 and woo moderate democrats to get those votes?
The majority of Republicans are still in Trump's cult, they gleefully gave him nigh total control in 2016 and he still has it, so no, or in the best case scenario, extremely unlikely they will.
When Trump loses (or rage quits out of the race) again in 2024, that's when the majority will truly dump Trump and claim they never really supported him and they didn't actually vote for him, while honking their clown horns.

right but what if there's no way out of the current situation? pretty sure if someone runs full blown ride-or-die qanon insurrectionist, they'll still lose, or so it seems to me atm
