So it sounds like workers are going on strike over these Pride flags being put up in their work place. They feel Pride is toxic, and won't work until they're all ripped down.

Carbon fiber is still a great material. The problem was in the build, not the choice to use carbon fiber.

I wonder if carbon nanotubes could be used to reinforce such a sub, that material is something like 100 times stronger then steel but I'm uncertain if you can design an entire structure adound it.

Nanotubes generally reinforce other materials, they actually occur in some steel making processes. In the future they will produce greater frameworks in composies no doubt.
