The problem here is that her life is NOT at stake, which is why she was denied the abortion on that technicality

The real issues here which expose the shortsighted stupidity of this law:

1-the fetus will likely die in the womb, which would be its luckiest outcome. If not, it will be born as a baby with nonfunctioning lungs, and suffer/die while it fights for the air that it’ll never receive. This law maximizes the suffering of a newborn infant instead of letting it be painlessly aborted.

2- the mother (already a mother) seems to plan on trying again to have a baby, but her ability to reproduce could be permanently taken away by forcing her to carry the doomed infant to birth.

So republicans planned on forcing a baby to spend its first moments in life suffering and dying immediately, and they’re taking away the mother’s ability to have another baby, forever. Great job, Republicunts 👆

The articles I read all said her doctors advised her that her life is at risk the longer she goes on with the pregnancy, not just her ability to become pregnant again in the future.

eg if the fetus dies in her womb, that can cause complications, which could lead to her death.

I read differently, that they latched onto a technicality: that she would very likely survive, possibly/likely with no ability to reproduce again, but that’s irrelevant since it’s actually just women they want to control

If they were smart in their deception, they won’t charge her, and allow the story to be forgotten. But Republicunts are not smart, so they will charge her and look like the demonic cult that they are

Women survive miscarries all the time, but the longer they're into the pregnancy, the more they're at risk. Granted, she probably wouldn't die considering she's being monitored, the risk of her dying from complications is still there with how far she's into the pregnancy.

But as you noted, even if doctors could give her a 100% chance of survival, it's just a cruel and stupid thing to force her to go through, at the risk of ability to become pregnant again, which she wants.
