Vance is a better public speaker, he is a trained lawyer, but he was allowed to lie practically non-stop and reinvent reality, while Walz played nice guy.
eg Apparently the housing shortage is caused by immigrants buying up all the houses with money they make from taking all the underpaid jobs Americans won’t do in the first place. Who knew.

Walz did have a low whack-a-mole output. I don't think this debate moved the election needle much either way. Maybe if one opponent had completely smashed the other, but that didn't happen.
The one part that stands out in this overall cordial, but boring debate, is Vance hilariously and pathetically dodging the "Did Trump lose in 2020?" question Walz fielded.
