Only reason I know of even half the slang I do, is because I still play videogames... You play online games, and you get exposed to a lotta really confusing $h!t you have to then sift through.

I don't really do MP at all. I watch it sometimes on YT for a laugh, but playing it? Nah. last time i tried anything with competitive MP was very early Red Dead 2. It amounted of 6 minutes creating a character. 2 minutes of setting up and getting used to the camp. and about 30 seconds of riding towards the nearest town. to which i got bumrushed by like 6 players and killed for no reason. After that, I promptly quit, and never played RDO again.

I started online gaming like 15 years ago. Been at it ever since. COD, RDO, GTAO, LOL I don't see myself stopping anytime soon. Right now I'm playing Black ops 6. Multiplayer is pretty good.

I'd call that a bit sad. Video games whilst in your 50s? Dude. SMH ❌

See, now I know you guys are way younger than me. See, for me, besides old arcade games, my very first multiplayer experiences came from playing the original Super Mario bros on the NES with my brothers. Competitive multiplayer came a little later with fighting games such as Street Fighter 2, but actual competitive shooters for me began.... with Goldeneye on the N64. Not that it was my first shooter, I was playing Wolfenstein 3d and Classic Doom well before that, but those were the ones where I got into killing other players for the first time, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, and remakes like Duke 64, Doom 64 and the like were also in there.

I was also part of the OG Command and Conquer crowd. My RTS fetish began there. I was also, for a time, part of the original Counterstrike and battlefield 1942 crowd. Played those for several months.
