The Last Airbender and the Legend of Korra are both excellent show(Korra is set 70 years after the first show). There are some mature themes, so it's not just for little kids. For avatar the animation in the final episode for the battles is amazing. I'd recommend it they are both excellent.
First 3 seasons of Avatar are on netflix now.
The live action movie was awful and was not faithful to the show at all. Netflix is apparently making a live action series. I hope they don't f*ck it up.
