Because the left projects. It's why they see everyone as racist and sexist who doesn't agree with them. And they assume we are like they are, that we can't befriend anyone other than people on our "team".
Just think back over the past 4 years about how many times you've heard about friends and family severing ties over politics. I bet you 9 times out of 10 the person severing the relationship leans left. I remember this one medium article recently about a dude saying he was gonna cut ties with his dad cuz he likes trump, but he got loads of backlash and backtracked.
They do the same thing to Silent Master and call him a trumper just for essentially calling out the left. It's what they do to Tim Pool too.

Edit - None of my friends did this, as well. However, I have multiple "TDS" suffering friends, as well. 2 of them had it VERY badly.

It's a shame. I did enjoy being politely disagreed with by Scribble. I miss those long posts that explained where we agreed and where we disagreed. Truly a gift of political engagement.
