Every visit with you ends with "Shit chunks and dick bumps."I was?
Try to stay away from the low brow humour. Be creative.

I did pretty well, though. Some people really really bombed and I never did that.
I really enjoyed doing it. But you have to be really good to get noticed to turn it into a career. I'm just not good at timing. It takes practice. No time to practice with crowds when you're working and going to school.
Oh, and the cigarette smoke. Hated it.

Made $150 to be a 15 minute opener when I was a teenager. "good enough" means you can retain work in local clubs but not enough to land nice gigs.
I'll get back into it. I'm not worried. Still collecting notes. Once you get enough "bits", then you practice them, work on delivery, work on transition. It is incredibly awkward. But if you don't practice, you bomb terribly. Oh, and try new material very sparingly through your routine, as well: you learn to throw shit out or take it back for rework, quickly.

Can you still smoke in American comedy clubs? I know in the UK you have to be the person with the mic in order to smoke, some sort of loophole where you can smoke if it's part of a performance.
Last I went, which was 6-8 years ago as a "guest", yes. I cannot stand the smoke. Drinking and smoking seem to be staples of comedy clubs. Some bars, here in the US, have comedy night, a well.
Originally posted by dadudemonI've seen amatuer comedy, they're mostly crap with a bit of warmth to keep you interested... the biggest problem is they steal jokes, which, well I guess I can understand why, but it's really not what I came for. A lot of them stole jokes from me when I was just rambling in the pub, which I stole from other comedians like Jim Jeffries. He had a joke that was put dutch infront of anything and it becomes rude. It's funny. One of the standups stole it.

Originally posted by dadudemonCan I politely ask DDM was it some kind of maths comedy routine, where you did stats and people laughed or "sum such" 😖hifty: Were you called Statto the statistics clown 😉 I jest 😖hifty:

I ****ing hate stats! 😂

But yeah, DDM stats are hilarious because his stats showed Trump would win, and I was more accurate in my prediction without any of that data.
It makes me think of "**** you frank"
Originally posted by Blakemorenah binomial is just a name for a curve with two sides like the standard curve. His stats are fecking comical in the extreme, I agree totally, so he is a great clown and comedian I guess. 😖hifty:

Originally posted by Old Man Whirly!Well, when I did stats (not my choice, I wanted to do mechanics) there was normal distribution, binomial distribution and poisson distribution. Frustration ensued, but it didn't matter, even if I got it within the margin of error I still passed.
