Luckily there's a really good place by me.

So, what is it about obviously incompetent/nasty people being promoted to management positions anyways? Seems to happen pretty often.

Personally, I think its lazyness from HR/hiring managers up the food chain that can't be assed to do the job right.

Like, I worked at a soup kitchen with a car club, and the awesomely competent director retired and was replaced by a lady who bitched she was assigned the job, and had no clue what she was doing. Is that any way to run anything, telling some shmuck "Just do it! Figure it out for yourself!"
