I still love the entire original trilogy despite all of the BS propaganda about unscientific Darwinism the films have in them. Before I rewatched them I also rewatched 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine" as well. Still love that film as well.
"Gods and Generals" is a long ass movie about the Civil War. It's pretty good for Civil War buffs such as myself (at least I used to be). It is the prequel to the fim "Gettysburg" which is also pretty good, imo.
Though I like the actor (Robert Duval; i think I spelled that right) that played General Lee in G & G much better than the one who played him in Gettysburg (Martin Sheene).
Though they both did a pretty good job of portraying the man who was probably THE greatest general in the history of the United States.😉

I'm supposedly a "leftist snowflake", but why would your opinion of who is a great general offend me? Being a great general doesn't mean that person is a moral person because if it. eg Nazi Germany had generals who were great at their jobs from a military viewpoint.
But I thought George Washington was considered the greatest US general.

General Robert E Lee was a traitor to America and a despicable human being. That doesn't mean he also can't be a great general when it comes to military skill.
