A recommendation for you Whirly.
A game called Crying Suns may be up your ally. Highly narrative driven story about a collapsed space empire and a cloned captain being woken by a robot servant in a civilization where all other robots became inactive. It feels like an Asimov story, I can see elements of Foundations and Battlestar Galactica, and I suspect it draws off I, Robot.
A good "chill" game, not very demanding. It's all about the story.
