What happens if 4chan style trolls started targeting the transgender community with "fakeouts", e.g. claiming they're trans and doing stupid things to slander trans people?

The average person wouldn't really be knowledgeable enough to know the difference, would they? Nor most police officers?

I was very gifted at STEM as a child but decided to pursue film, English and media in an attempt to communicate with people. Unfortunately I didn't realise that most people who pick those kind of topics are pseudo intellectuals who don't really understand science and think that gender can be made up because "why not?"

There are many other things I can talk about on this, but the point is, there is a clear distinction between actual science and "well, some people believe this, and others believe something else so which is right?"

I can answer that. Objective science is verifiable every time, no need to personalise things and say "well, I define 4 as something different so don't tell me 2 + 2 = 4." It's just not the same.

The problem is, you're trying to apply the scientific method to lived experiences. The standards you're asking for would have made it virtually impossible for marginalized groups to make advancements, such as women getting the vote or right to work, or blacks getting to use the front door.

Asking lgbtq to prove they really feel how they feel is kind of missing the point.

May as well try applying science to political choice.
