I know he hangs with Tommy Robinson. mhmm
Dankula got arrested for saying "seig heil" to the dog in the picture, which was clearly a joke. Tommy Robinson defended him for freedom of speech, not to promote nazism.
Furthermore, Dankula has a wife and daughter and lives in Glasgow, whereas Tommy Robinson went on marches with alcoholic coke fiends and lives in Luton.
The only thing they have in common is they both got attacked by the press for two very different things. Tommy spoke out against Pakistani rape gangs, Dankula told a nazi joke. Unfortunately, those things are considered hate speech.
I mean, if you actually took the time to know these people instead of just reading the guardian, you'd know how ridiculous you sound when you say:

If only you knew how ridiculous you sound, you wouldn't have made that statement.

If he did, he'd know in the video he also says, "just so you know, I'm not racist, I'm just sort of doing this for a laugh." It should also be noted his dog is called Buddha.

However, I do agree with the article's conclusion that edge lords abusing freedom of speech can encourage hate crimes and I can relate.
At school, I made nazi jokes as an edge lord. Of course, other kids would copy me, not realising the offence it could cause. I still like dankula. He's a funny meme edge lord, but that doesn't mean I listen to Jordan Peterson, Stephan Molyneux, Sargon of Akkad or Milo Yanking off a kid.
Hey, you laughed at American bear because it was sooo American, until you realised it was a 4chan meme.
