That he's a conservative muslim and wants to protect the muslim way of life. in addition he is an autocrat with increasingly bad tendencies, like messing with the press, corruption, staying in power too long etc.
Eventually he'll be removed from power unless propped up by a more powerful regime. See assad.

It seems like trump hooked him up so he could do a press release bragging about destroying islam. It seems to be another blip in a pattern of trump glad handing with dictators for good press, which is what you'd expect from a reality star wrestler president. I dont think he understands whats at stake; in the entertainment business the worst you get is a nasty tmz piece, in geopolitics you can end or start nations with one military engagement. Have you already voiced your opinion in another thread about it? Id like to know your take.

That’s ridiculous man, Trump tired over 1.5 million documents. Ordered all of his people to fully cooperate.
Every Obama official under oath said they never say any evidence of conspiracy.
The only person who said he had direct evidence was Adam Schiff who never produced any evidence
Not a single person was indicted or convicted for anything related actual election rigging or conspiracy or collusion.

Trump has known since the 70s that he was of interest to russia and it's various satellite countries, as part of a disinformation campaign to infiltrate America's business elite and even wrote of it, i mean his ghost writer did, in art of the deal and how they incentivized him with numerous real estate projects. This is only one tiny piece of the puzzle, but just this shows trump knew of 1.) disinformation campaigns and their efficacy and 2.) that russia would stand behind him and elevate him via things like intelligence. Why do you think trump highlighted the emails so much ? To get the most bang for his buck.
I agree there is no clear cut thing that points directly to trump and putin working in tandem but there's more than enough corroborating evidence from my layman pov.
How stupid are they? Very.
Why won't they let it go? Quite simple, actually. If they were to ever let it go then then it means admitting that Trump whipped Hillary fair and square.. and the thought of them having to admit that is abhorrent to them.
Believing the crazy idea that Trump only won "because Putin" helps soothe their butthurt from Hillary losing.
In other words, they all need to grow up and accept the fact that their side lost fair and square.
