Youtube is the worst video website

Youtube has a really bad habit of spamming pointless crap, they like to force lame ass spam Youtube Recommendations such as Peppa Pig, WatchMojo.com, How it Should Have Ended, Modern Saturday Night Live, Mr. Bean, Vevo music video, Honest Trailers, and comicbookresources videos.

It makes it more annoying how the website updates the look of its page than downgrades after that. Google sure loves finding everyway to make Youtube a steaming pile of garbage.

Based on your viewing history, google searching, conversations (including spoken to people in the room with a google-app-installed phone/computer), etc. etc.

Thats the worst trashy spam from Youtube.

I also hate how they added "This video not available in your country". Its one of the worst things to happen on the website.

How it should have ended is awesome.

This is the creepiest ****ing shit in the world. I swear it's true, it's happened too many times for it just to be coincidence. Are we actually being spied on 24/7 now?

Yes, pretty much. There's a good book about it, it's quite long though, if you have the time you should check it out. It's called The Age of Surveillance Capitalism. https://www.amazon.com/Age-Surveillance-Capitalism-Future-Frontier/dp/1610395697

Ironically, Barack Obama suggested it a few months ago, despite being one of the main people contributing to it with his presidency. But that is in line with most of his political career, talking pretty but doing bad.

I think for a lot of people China's surveillance is very scary, and I can totally understand that, it is monstrous what they do there, but what we are exposed to in the West is no less scary, if anything it is more worrying as we are doubly under surveillance from large private corporations with no oversight and from extremely well funded, powerful intelligence services with no oversight, like the NSA and the MI5. This is on top of general law enforcement getting more and more powers to spy on us and cutting in on our civil rights.

That's fascinating! I'll try to have a peruse when possible. Also, very good point about Obama.

A lot of it comes back to the fallout of 9/11. I remember surveillance starting to get pretty bad around then, but it'd been building for a while. State exploitation of the coronavirus pandemic has reminded me of that quite a bit — people getting messages about them going outside when they're not allowed, implying they were being tracked from their phones. Although I haven't seen anything 100% confirming the veracity of those messages.

I'm on the worst end of the spectrum as I have a Huawei with Android — China gets my data and Google spies on me 24/7. I'm just kind of resigned to it by now, there's not much I can do other than run to the hills and life ascetically.

How do they get BLM and Pride from Transformers toy reviews?

Yeah, youtube has gone to shit.

Cdtm loves to mention how Dailymotion is a lot like classic youtube, but they are infamous for having trouble to keep their site secure.

Just treat it like a porn site, and lock down before you go.

Users' accounts had all their data leaked.

They took care of it, but it could happen again.

Who knows, perhaps it was youtube guys who hacked them.

Pretty much.

It's not even a secret.

You can be talking to someone and then you'll see an ad for what you were talking about just then with the person in your room. Some people, liars (or just dumb people in denail), try to state it is just the Bernie Beinhof Effect.

Meaning, the obscure thing you were just now talking about popping up as an ad in your internet browsing, a few seconds later, is just the Bernie Beinhof Effect, just a coincidence. That you probably talked about and looked up this topic before, making the ad sense kick in and serve up ads. And it JUST SO HAPPENED to choose this one ad for this one obscure topic you forgot about.

It's simply not true. My memory is absurdly good. Some topics, I have never discussed or looked up on the internet. In my entire life. I remember conversations from when I was 2 much less from just a few years ago.

Here's a recent example of the creepiness of your devices listening to you:

I was talking to my wife about stuff she wanted (she was just my fiancee at the time). She had mentioned an obscure Japanese charcoal mask to help with her comlexion. Never in my life have I ever talked about this or google searched for it - I had never heard of it. No one else has access to my google accounts to use it to search for stuff. Yet, moments later, going to Amazon to look for the masks, it magically recommends Korean and Japanese charcoal face masks. Hilariously, it was mixed in with protein powders, protein bars, and electronic device purchase suggestions (what I frequently purchase or research on Amazon). Clearly, my device (iPhone) was listening to my conversation. It was the Amazon ap.

Ads are served up to you based on what people in your area search, people in your state/country/province/country, what you've browsed, what you've looked up, content from your e-mail (yes, ads connected with google can know what is in your e-mail to know what ads to serve up), your browsing history, and your browsing habits.

In fact, based on stuff you're looking up, ad AIs can tell when your wife's period is, if she's pregnant, when you're about to schedule a vacation, etc.

So even if you don't look up BLM stuff, if you are on a forum that has BLM, #BLM, Black Lives Matter, or things related to it, it will serve up BLM stuff to you.

You're on KMC and we talked about it. You're getting BLM ads.

Cdtm also keeps mentioning Transformers on KMC.

😂 sometimes you are very funny! 👆

Notice how you don't see hide nor hair of him until someone brings up Transformers.

Methinks he protests too much. Come out of the closet, Trans fan.

Youtube should just crash and burn, thats what it needs for being a crappy website.

Talking about spying, its really disturbing when people you have met literally just today get recommended to on FB and IG. You didn't exchange.numbers or have common factors like working in the same building. You probably met them in the bus
