Weird thing is a lot of people that aren't happy with how things are, still support Putin because of lack of education and being brainwashed into thinking that noone else can possibly do the job and that the country will be destroyed without him. Putin is great at using religion, patriotism, traditional values and scary libererals who apparently will turn our sons gay the second Vlad is out of the office.
How accurate are the approval polls for Putin? Is he really that well-liked in Russia? Some say it is like North Korea where the "Dear Leader" is "elected."

Thanks for the context.
Gallup posted this of Putin's approval in 2017 (he had 80% approval which is absurdly high for a world leader):
https://news.gallup.com/poll/223382/russians-happier-putin-country-direction.aspx
But in Jan, another poll, but this one was trust but it is somewhat related to approval, said Putin's trust dropped from 57% to 35% by Jan 2020 (in 2 years):
https://www.themoscowtimes.com/2020/02/12/russians-trust-in-putin-halves-in-2-years-poll-a69248
So you saw that drop in approval/trust of Putin in Russia over the last 2-ish years, it would seem.
Also, ignore Whirly: he currently is trolling me across multiple threads, multiple times a day because he lost one too many arguments with me and snapped.
