Your thoughts on midichlorians?

What do you think? Are midichlorians a good way to explain why some characters are naturally more powerful than others, or do you think the concept is dumb and should have never been introduced?

I don’t mind that, it gives a more scientifically explanation of the force

Meh. Indifferent.

It's a good way to explain why any random person in the galaxy can't become a Force-user just by studying the Jedi/Sith ways and whatnot.

But I do like Luke's explanation that midi-chlorians, while important, are not the end-all/be-all when it comes to the power one can access.

I think it is ok. SW still is a sci-fi after all. So when there are some more scientific explanations I don't think it was dumb

I didn't really care for a scientific explanation to something mystical like the force.

Indifferent.

I reckon it means one can channel the force more quicker etc Ie the more open door theory’

Yeah I'm indifferent to it really as well.

According to Luke, those who are naturally more attuned with the Force(ie. higher midi-chlorian counts) start off with their 'door' to the Force more open than others, but any Force user can open their door just as wide... It just takes more work/practice for them to get there.

I dig that explanation.
