The storyline does make mention twice that Doomsday kick-started their interest in genetics, and it makes sense.

"We've made a creature that survives on starlight; let's ALL do that"

Makes sense. The red sunlight weakness could have been built in to prevent universal domination. Like let's give ourselves powers until we can prove our worth, unfortunately Krypton exploded before they could.

He talkin bout DD like being an "immigrant". Immigrant goes to country, becomes citizen, and now calls him or herself as an (insert name for people of said country).
Semantics.
once doomsday was reborn it was on Krypton so he has to be considered kryptonian because a few of those rebirth allowed him to survive thd conditions of the planet.

Not really disagreeing with anything.

Im cool with either view, it's an interesting discussion. I can see points being made by both sides.

I actually wasn't even following the discussion, I simply posted it to mess with you haw-som

Bertron took an infant who was not native to that planet. That planet being Krypton.

If a kid in DC is born on Mars, and cloned etc on Mars.....he's not suddenly taking on the characteristics of J'onn.

HOWEVER, if they did this 250,000 years ago in DC Mars' past, and the Martians then took this research to tinker with themselves......well, that's another argument.

Doomsday was created in a lab. He wasn't born.
So he's not a native of a different planet.
Betron specifically mentions creating life, then creating the ultimate life form.
Then each birth after, also on Krypton.

The sunlight traits are not only existent in the humanoid kryptonians and Daxamites, but also in many of the other creatures we've introduced to over time from monsters to dragons and dogs. All the beings seem stronger under the yellow sun.

Because he always is constipated.

Explains his wooden acting a lot.

Marvel has quite a few that can do this without any outside help such as..
1. Hulk. The madder hulk gets the stronger hulk gets.
2. Thor. Warrior madness?
3. Gladiator. The more confident he is the stronger he gets.
5. Goliath/Atlas. The bigger he gets, the stronger he gets.
Does DC have some that can do this at will? Name them.

DC doesn't have anyone that can do this

Lies. Either that, or you can't read.

This thread is retarded trolling from an Op at its best. Kudos JBL!

I wouldn't be a good judge for that, because I've always believed Superman does have dynamic strength, and feel like his history supports that. It would be...eh...hard to change my mind there.

Hmmm...

Here, go counter ODG post. I can't wait to see the results of this.

Mental state affects pretty much every superhero's powers. What sort of unremarkable attribute is this? And, yes, while this unremarkable premise is a factor that can be significant, your characterization of is an overexaggeration. The real thing that "is almost everything in relation to his powers" isn't his mental state. It's the plot. If the plot needs Superman to overcome all odds, yea. Which goes for every superhero. This separate premise is yet another unremarkable concept that really has nothing to do with this "hope role" concept you're peddling. Just provide an example of this "hope role" self-amp happening on-panel. Then, post an example where brainwashing short-circuited this "hope role" self-amp on-panel.

ODG's post is about.... Superman's hope role in the DCU.

I don't care about that, lmao. Stop hiding behind it though.

ODG actually AGREES that Superman has dynamic strength, lmao. He's just saying every character has it.
But bottom line is, Superman has it.

Every character does, but not Hulk dynamic strength. 😊
