Whether or not you feel there would be riots, the reaction to a white celeb would be much harsher IMO.
There would not be riots if say Jim Jefferies said similar about Jews and such. The internet would come down on him and he'd lose out financially, contracts would be cancelled, events strips etc. Same as this Nick guy. This is a fact, no amount of White-victiming here will change that. (not saying you believe this, I don't know)
As far as reaction, debatable, but your stance isn't unreasonable considering American history. Really depends on the celebrity and their perceived sway though. Some minor White celebrity, probably the same as Nick. Someone like Tom Cruise, nuclear explosions across the interwebs.

And some of the shit he spouted is quite weird, like some theory about white people being created by a mad scientist in a lab in a cave 6,000 years ago.I laughed. It surely must only be science hating republican blacks that buy into that.
That sounds like Nation of Islam material. They teach (or taught) that. So the anti-Jew thing from Cannon makes sense if he's NOI.

"There wouldn't be riots" and "a white person saying this would get a harsher reaction" can both be true.
There is no way a celeb on the same level as Nick who was white would get the same reaction, it would be worse IMO.
I suppose it depends on the circles you run in. I've long known him, not only for his tv show wild n out but for marrying Mariah Carey.
I'm not familiar with how popular Jim Jefferies.
But in a way I don't think it matters, my comment wasn't saying Nick is high level, merely that...A list, B list, C list, D list, the reaction would be harsher if both were D list or C list, etc.

No, Adam isn't anti-LGBT. No amount of lighting your farts on fire will change that.
Incorrect. He literally came out and made it clear he supports violating the law to bully members of the LGBT Community into self harm up to and including suicide.
You need to be far more careful who you decide to rally with. You really do need to take a step back and stop pretending like there are only 2 teams on the internet - there are not "two" teams. It is not "us vs. them." That's just stupid tribalistic binary thinking.
But I digress - I like Adam_Poe. I don't necessarily strongly disagree with his "toughen up, whiny b*tch" stance. I just don't agree with the bullying part. It's not okay and is illegal due to the cyberbullying laws.

But sure, topic. This Nick guy said racist shit, the internet came down on him an rightfully so, he's now backtracking to save himself from financial loss, he's not really sorry imo. If a White celebrity had said this the same would happen, there would not be riots as some claimed.
I disagree with all this except the last part: the riots are already happening. lol

Not what he said. He said he has no sympathy for those LGBT who self-harm due to bullying because he went through it too and survived. It's a cold hard stance to take, but he's not anti-LGBT because of it. That's a silly reach. He has spent more time defending LGBT rights in here than any of us other liberals combined.
I've literally said the same thing about the tribalism here and the "teams" nonsense. On one is innocent here of this though, at least not the regulars.
I like him too, one of the more sensible people in here and his wit is razor-like, as are his jabs.
Riots are happening, but not because of "White celebrity tweets", as was claimed.

Because he was a literal clown. Too busy laughing at him to riot.
Everyone made fun of him, you'd have to be as crazy as he is to defend his shtick.
South Park's takedown on him is still comedy gold.

I still disagree. Here's the context:

Bash continually harassed me whilst I was having a lockdown-breakdown, despite me repeatedly asking him to leave me alone. He knew what he was doing and pecked at me again and again until I snapped.Later on, he kept throwing transphobic slurs and me and Eon (for which he received an official mod warning). I called him out for it and he flipped, and doubled down on being nasty.
You have no ground to stand on defending Bash. It is true that everything in his post against me is absurdly hypocritical, and in fact accurately describes himself. He is one of the most malignant members in KMC history, and cannot stand me mentioning his even more sordid past.
But sure, stand valiantly by the transphobic bully. You have no right to call yourself virtuous, Whirly.

If you do not like the manner in which someone communicates with you, and/or you do not wish for him to continue to communicate with you, then use the Ignore function for its designated purpose. But spare us the victim narrative. Life does not come with trigger warning, you are just going to have to get sronger.

You're confused: the reason I'm pointing this out is due to the hypocrisy at play. I don't care what Bash says about me, I just find it hypocritical that he gets to do loads of obnoxious, toxic stuff and get away with it. Moreover, that he can act in a blatantly transphobic manner and still claim that he fights on the side of righteousness. I'm using my own example as I am just the latest person Bash has decided to target; I'm not a victim, I'm just showing how Bash's behaviour follows a pattern of abuse, and it continues to this day.Adam, you are missing a lot of context here. I'd advise staying out of this, as you don't understand what you're talking about. You're white knighting for one of the most consistently abusive members KMC has ever seen. Not a great look.
Also, funnily enough, your line here is exactly the argument against PC culture. You sound like a true Republican, and I love it.

I do not need additional context, because the exact details are irrelevant to my point. Never wrestle a pig, because the only thing you get is dirty, and the pig likes it. You may think that airing this petty Internet drama makes Bashar Teg look bad, but it is not a flattering look for you either. I would advise you to not be so invested in the conduct of strangers ont he Internet. You can object, but when you are so triggered that you cannot let it go, you are too invested.

It's not 'airing petty internet drama', though. Like I say, I don't get any negative feelings from confronting Bash. I just find it interesting that his friends, such as you, will excuse any and all of his behaviour, then turn it back onto the people he harasses and make it seem like it's their fault, which is entirely what you're doing here. With all of this talk about 'racist dog whistles' and 'everyone is alt-right' at the moment, I find is confusing that when dealing with a legit abusive bigot, you simply don't care, excuse his behaviour, and in fact tell the people he targets that they're 'triggered' and to just stop being pussies. This is the hypocrisy I am talking about — how can you not see that? You sound exactly like the people you claim to stand against.
I have far more an issue with that than anything Bash might say.

But it is petty Internet drama. What you are complaining about is a stranger on the Internet not honoring your request to cease responding to your posts on a message board, when it is entirely within your power to not respond to him, to place him on Ignore, or to step away from the computer if the interaction is causing you distress. But let us not pretend that an individual poster giving you a hard time is the same as a plethora of others expressing support for dangerous far-right ideologies. Those things are not in the same ball field, they are not even the same ****ing sport.

...So like I told Scribble before, life does not come with trigger warnings, you are just going to have to get stronger.

Well, at least you're not a liar and a hypocrite and you readily admit to your pro-bullying, anti-LGBT position.FYI: I also include suicide in self-harm as it is the ultimate self-harming outcome.

In other words, some people are just born that way. So to mock and bully someone for being part of the LGBT community, that's bullying. Self-harming including suicide is just "how they were born" most likely.
It's easier to just follow Bill and Ted's mantra: Be Excellent to Each Other.

If a young person today, growing up with all the advantages of hard-won LGBTQ rights and social support, harms himself over bullying, then he is not cut out for this life. Because being an LGBTQ person is not an easy life. He is bullied now, but when he gets older, his life will not be marginalization, oppression, or persecution-free. He is just going to trade that challenge for a different set of challenges. And if he cannot handle that, then he certainly cannot handle what else is coming his way down the road. Because the difficulty setting does not get easier as you proceed through the game of life. People not much older than him had it much worse than he does and did not resort to doing the bully's job for him. He needs to toughen the **** up.

If that was all he said on it, you might have a point and I would agree.
I made my stance quite clear and he did nothing to clarify his position away from wanting to protect the vulnerable against illegal cyberbullying. He doubled down and even got mocking about it.
And your memory is good enough to know what you're trying to say is, at the very best, a dishonest representation of the truth.
This is no longer "okay." In fact, I think I've gone too far and forced you to have to take "sides" where no side should exist.
I'll drop it and not respond on this particular topic anymore: I promise. Just like I disagree with Surt's position on transgenderism (called him an *sshole for it), I also disagree with Adam_Poe's stance on bullying members of the LGBT community. It does not mean I hate the person. We just have some ideological differences for it.

You mean like Roseanne who is both funnier and more entertaining the Nick?
Yes, I agree.
They should have kept Roseanne's show going. Maybe forced her to work for $1 an episode for 5 episodes and donated that money a legit anti-black violence charity that actually helped black people.
She tweeted this:
"Muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj"
LOL
Like...dude...WTF? Why can't people just STFU with that shit and only talk privately with their racist relatives and friends? Why you gotta get drunk and tweet that shit?
