Beerus vs. Whis

Lets say that Beerus has become irritated with Whis's insubordination, and decided enough was enough.

Do you think he would be able to kill Whis with a hakai? Afterall Whis did say that complete eradication is the only way to kill an angel-

Whis isn't fighting back here. As always he is just standing there with a smile on his face.

I want to say no.

Seems like the eradication of Angels is something only Daishinkan-tier(and above) beings can preform.

We know that hakai is just the usage of destruction energy to erase someone from existence, and this energy can be overcome if your ki is higher (ala Vegeta vs Toppo), so given the gap between Beerus and Whis, I imagine a hakai from Beerus would illicit no more than a sneeze from Whis.
