Joker Vs Iron Man

It starts with Luthor prepping for Joker using a force field to block Joker gas - but Joker had already prepped for that and created a special blend that goes through forcefields.

Then skips to the present, with Luthor trying to get into his secret cabinet of toys, only to find Joker had wrecked it all. And infected every member of the Legion who Luthor had invited up to the moon. And turned the entire base into a deathtrap for Luthor.

Whilst Luthor had been prepping to take out Joker.

Yeah, people may not like me saying this but Tony is a winner. Lex isn't. Tony overcomes his demons be they drink, damaged heart etc etc. He is in a way Batman +.

Lex is a moron fixated on inserting glowing green rocks in some alien's anus.

And somehow people read that shit. Gross.

This is basically proofing what I said before

Exactly, especially with standard starting distance, I'm not denying that Joker works in a scenraio but he's not a forum prep battle type of guy. He needs a scenario to properly function and pull his shit.

as for the special gas

and proof that Joker acually is not making that shit himself

This isn't a scenario like this, this is Stark in his lab/factory with his resources having 10 days to come up with shit, he's not reachable in any way for Joker. Same goes for Joker after that they get teleported into the standard arena at standard starting distance. Joker is getting ****ed here.

"Prep time
Neither side receives any notable prep time before the starting bell unless the thread starter specifies it. Neither side may take any offensive or defensive actions before the starting bell."

Sorry, edited to clarify the point I am after - where does it say Tony is not reachable in any way by Joker? Pepper et al?

Messing up someone's gear is quite offensive to me.

To be fair it's not saying anything about the resources but I swear it was written there back in the day.

"Last edited by Galan007 on Apr 12th, 2019 at 12:39 AM" of course the power drunken mod had to change things in his sick vision once again.

But no access to resources would make no sense, because they would be sitting there for 10 days doing nothing really. And it would make Jokers quest to temper with Stark's tech even more difficult if Stark was just sitting on his ass waiting for the bell if he could somehow reach out to him.

Parm.

Start using imgBB like every decent human being these days.

Or at least imgur.

Gawd.

But the links work and you're right here, I'm just having too much time and nitpicking.

Yah that's what I mean, I couldn't see where it's not allowed that Joker couldn't spend ten days going after Tony personally or his loved ones. That's kinda his MO.

I almost always visualize prep battles as taking place in some kind of shared Universe with access to resources, and not just them being teleported to the battleground in a "So...what armor have you built?" type of way.

I think the second sentence just rephrases the first one? As in, no offensive or defensive actions are allowed because no prep time is allowed, unless the thread starter specifies.

DS raises a good point, maybe there’s no actual rule against Joker doing something like kidnapping Pepper during prep. Just seems like there should be a presumption against that sort of shit, or else prep time becomes the actual fight.

I always imagened it like in Battlezones, everyone does their shit and then the bell rings and it's on.

@Phildo: same. Forum rules state they can operate at peak efficiency.

But yeah, Joker isn't out teching Iron Man. Tony will show up with a Jokerbuster armour specially designed for him, and it will fail because Tony sucks when creating specialised armours lol.

At least we can all agree that Galan is to blame here.

Yeah, I guess it also kind of depends on match-ups. Many chars' prep would also involve some kind of environment prep [i.e. if I make a Punisher w/prep vs Tony Stark, I see it not as Punisher getting the biggest gun he can find before he is teleported with it on the battlefield, but mostly a rigging of the fight/strategize with the battlefield itself]. Almost like a comic plot but with actual efficiency and no PIS - Iron Man tries to take him out and Punisher is prepared for him [or they're both preparing to take each other in, and they meet in a warehouse or whatnot] -- not a "you're teleported in a Cell Games ring, go!".

It gets murky when the prep involves interaction between the characters themselves in some way or another.

Joker gets vaporized by Stark with the greatest of ease

It's also murky when you have characters who essentially cheat. You show up on the battlefield dressed to the nines, all ready with your shiny weapons and your new battle skills.....

And Constantine/Joker/Loki have messed with your stuff and have your parents stuffed in his basement or something.

Incredible showing for Joker, but I'm not sure how that equates to him beating Tony with equal prep.
It feels more like Joker having decided to attack Luthor before he got in the game, it's no the same.
