Good idea, but it still won’t work. People are easily bought and manipulated, even man of science.

Here’s another tidbit. Tesla wanted to give people free electricity, and he basically told the government to **** off since he believed we the people should not pay for such a thing. Where as the government backed Edison because Edison wanted the money, the privilege and accolade.

Examples, I support universal healthcare (with restrictions). I believe environmental issues should take precedence over almost everything. I support abortion rights but ONLY during the first trimester. I am opposed to capital punishment.

I strongly support gun rights BUT with some restrictions. I believe people who are capable of working should, even if those jobs "don't pay enough".

Immigrants? Welcome them but NO handouts.

You ask us to be objective but you also seem to want us to ignore certain facts. An objective person would be able to note which party has been doing this more often lately. Unfortunately politics bleeds into everything.

But what restrictions for guns do you support? And I'd like you to answer keeping in mind what is happening around this country now. Especially in places like Seattle and Portland. The cops legit have more or less come out and said "you're on your own this weekend" in Seattle. In Portland the local authorities did nothing and the friggin feds needed to come in. I am curious if these change your views when it comes to any restrictions you wanted.

The lights go out every night and you have to be together emotionally.

The whole point of this thread is to show how people use emotions, rather than logic and reason, when performing their political views. I am guilty of too, but at least I admit it.

Look at Chicago and the Black community as a whole. 13% of this country population is Black, yet we are responsible for 50% of the most violent of crimes.

And the mayor acted like he left cuz he got tear gassed, but no the crowd turned against him and that is why he was escorted away.

We literally have democrats describing what is going on as fascism. It's insane. It's not Republicans doing this shit it is the democrats. Own it.

We want to make it about the most pressing issue right now.

But I also asked you about gun restrictions and what restrictions you want and if the recent riots and the lack of response from local authorities has changed that.

I mentioned multiple issues and instead of addressing them, you left.

The problem with this idea is that it ignores that human beings are inherently emotional creatures. Most of the decisions we make in life are based on how we feel - the friends we have, the things we believe, the people we love and hate. These are not things bast on logic or science, they are based on feeling. Politics is largely the same. Most people vote for someone based on personality and how much they like them or that they're drawn to a certain aspect of their personality. Likewise, the opposition party tends to excude more emotion in their political stances than the party in power. This is true now among democrats with Trump and it was true of republicans back when Obama was president. The vitriol both presidents endured was largely an emotional response mong those who opposed him for various reasons.

The greatest example of this on a global scale is religion. I'd argue that religion is the single most influential creation in human history, it is more responsible for the current state of the world than anything, and religion by its nature is a purely emotional response. It has no basis in logic, or science or facts, there is nothing to support a supernatural creator, but the vast majority of people on this planet believe in such things because they like the way it makes them feel.

We aren't robots, we never will be. This is why there are so few scientists in positions of political power, they can give more facts and logical responses than anyone, but they don't know how to give themselves the charisma neccessary to excel at politics.

No matter what you know in life new life makes newer facts.
