Haven't seen The Endless so can't really comment.

The day alien is a regular one right? Or is it the one he had to kill to get the power or whatever?

It’s the main one that can reset the day

Yeah not seeing how the mimic alien ever detects the time loop

She sensed it when it was being used against her in Edge of Tomorrow

Also humans figured out they were in a loop in Endless

I think another time resetting alien could easily do the same
