Scotland is a beautiful country.
In honor and the memory of that Historic Time....
The Japanese were so monstrous in WW2 that to this day every other Asian country is massively butthurt about them, to the point that they'd rather take Winnie the Pooh cock than side with us and by proxy Japan.
Shoulda dropped 3. Also MacArthur and Nimitz should have spitroasted Hirohito in the middle of Tokyo.

I think you are right about the monstrosity of the Japanese empire. I don't think that that's the reason why Asian countries now don't side with the US always. The US has done plenty monstrous things in the region itself. And for many countries having a good relationship with China is much more important and beneficial than with the United States. I think blaming Japan for some of the diplomatic shortcomings the US has in the region excuses the fact that what the US is offering to countries in the region isn't particularly attractive to many.

America has bought into a type of individualism and hyper capitalism that has led to immense inequality, which means that the US has a lot of places that are as bad or worse than poor parts of third world countries, while also having wonderful places for the well off. And of course it has wonderful nature, truly a beautiful place.
If you truly hate individualism and capitalism as much as you seem to then perhaps the United States isn't a country you should be living in. I suggest you move to a more collectivist anti-capitalist country like North Korea, commie.
Individualism always >>>>>>> collectivist crap.
Capitalism >>>>> Communism/socialism... ALWAYS.
United States >>>> every other country on the planet, especially the shithole UK lmfao. 😂

I'm not against capitalism or individualism generally, I think the best forms of governments and society are in between, where our communities are collectively taken care of, with a lot of freedom for individuals to develop and express themselves.
I love a lot of things about the United States, but I also see many of its shortcomings, if I were to be randomly born anywhere, I would not choose the United States, as it comes with too much danger of being born in a very unfortunate position.
Of course the United States is vastly better than North Korea. The UK has a lot of the same problems as the United States, imo.
Originally posted by ArtolIt very much has to do with our relationship with Japan. Most of east asia/south-east asia is pretty chill with us. Vietnam and S. More specifically, part of our strategy in recent years to keep China in check in the pacific has been to slowly relax our ban on Japan having their own military. The other asian countries are very unhappy with that, and it's no secret that China has countered by trying to form its own pan-Asian coalition (with itself at the head, of course)... with the sole exception of Japan being a member.

I'm not saying that it's not a factor at all, but I think you are vastly overstating it. Certainly South Korea is not really moving away from the US, even though there are tensions with Japan. I don't think that has fundamentally changed under Moon either.
Also the idea that China is economically so different to the US, is mostly made up at this point, the US and other Western countries are working together with China perfectly well tbh.
His words and How He says them just make me feel a Certain Way....
