Saw this.
My old boss lost his chance at Julliard because he didn't have minority status. He was "trying" for one of their Cello spots and made it to the final where he competed against only a black man. He had higher scores in the performance section but lost out because the points in the minority status column were enough to give the other dude the nod.

Anyway, yes, sometimes, having a minority status can benefit you. But when everyone is a minority, then no one is a minority.
This racism has to stop.
