Merus vs. Goku and Vegeta

This is Merus fighting seriously, but still not using his full power (like he did against Moro when he was just using his staff)

This is current Goku (with the incomplete UI) and current Vegeta.

Merus, easily.

Even while still suppressing the bulk of his Angelic power, he was still giving Moro a damn good fight.

Flip side, full power Sign Goku couldn't even touch Moro, and was casually one-shotted... And Vegeta was also one-shotted by the same Moro a few chapters ago.

Makes sense. But then why was Merus going to use his full power against Goku in the last part of their training if he didn't think Goku could handle it?

Probably hoping to push Goku to MUI state.

Yeah, most likely.

This chapter made it evident that Merus is way above Sign Goku, even while suppressing himself. So the only logical reason for Merus to have gone all-out against Goku while they were training is if he was trying to force him to reach MUI.
