I mean technically This isn't an even comparison. Strength is Superman's main attribute, his biggest skill, by far. While Thanos is incredibly powerful (able to casually drop Hulk with a smack) he actually is more of an energy projection fighter. The power cosmic and blasts powered by celestial tech are by far his main weapons.
Further thought: Superman tends to start at mid power and ramp up his strength as needed. Thanos pretty much is always near the same strength level, always using extremely powerful physical attacks from jump. Over time though, as crisis elevates, Thanos will switch to other weapons while Clark just keeps elevating his physical strength until he reaches a level that MAYBE is beyond Thanos max pure physical strength.depending on if Morrison or Tom King wanks him

Superman, using fts. Hell, Colossus is stronger if we just go by lifting fts but going by image portrayed, Thanos is stronger. I highly doubt Superman could treat Bills the way Thanos did or survive an encounter with Annihilus that was amplified. A debate can be made that Hulk is FAR stronger than Darkseid.

😂 Thanos destroyed a planet by accident kicking Thane's ass. Superman was in the sixth dimension where physics works much different than the 3rd dimension.
Besides that, any other time Superman destroyed a planet it KO'd him. But Thanos was on a gas giant planet when it exploded and all it did was tear his clothes. He was completely unharmed.

1. Nothing in the story states gravitational pull or that it was meant for him not to escape when World Forger told him he could fly to a cosmic garden on the other side of the pocket universe
2. Why would He tell him he could fly to the garden if he put him on an escape proof planet?? Where did he get a calc that states it’s gravitational pull was 5x Jupiter? Pure and and headcanon like the usual. “ made by a multiversal being to be above all planets”
He even tells him if you try to fly there you’ll die in space. Nothing says he can’t leave the planet.
