Who's that guy in the restaurant who get out when Neo get in ?

In Reloaded, when Neo enters the restaurant to meet the Merovingian, he sees a man who's going out the room. This man his followed and pushed by a bodyguard.
Neo and the man are looking at each other as if they knew each other.
So, who's that guy ?

thanks for your help

i don´t know. but that´s a good question. maybe it willbe answered in revolutions.
In the etm-trailer from revolutions, you can see a guy, grinning a little mad, who looks a little bit like this man in the restaurant, but i dont think that these two persons are the same.

man, that is a very good question...i have been wondering that very same thing...he is so very noticeable and his character must come into play later on with that prevelant of a fore-shadow....i really want to know too

The guy in the trailer is the one in the game who blurts:

72 hours...72 hours, thats how long Zion lasted the last time.

The man in the restaurant is not him. I have re-watched that part many times to try and figure out who it is but to no avail. But I can say it isn't the crazy bum from the Subway 🙂

A possibility could be one of his parents? But doubtful

Yes, I thought he was somebody the first time i saw the movie, but I forgot all about it. Good question.

I think he is/was s programme about to be deleted.

didnt someone say that this guy is the dad of the child thats gonna be really important and change both our world and yours forever.. who is just giving merovinigan the oracles shells termination code, and so briefly into the conversation mero says tell the fortune teller her time is up...
the reason neo looks at him strange is because he sees his code (the childs parents are programs she trusted)

remember the blind guy sitting opposite the lift to the lift to the oracles flat that morpheus nods at? he looks like him to me without comparing, maybe thats why he was being escorted

Maybe “that guy” is just a prop to show us the power of the Merovingian? It is true, that the Oracle says in EtM, that the termination code to her original shell was sold to the Merovingian by two programs she once trusted to save their child. At the end of the restaurant scene the Mero does say “Tell the fortune teller that her time is almost up.”
This could indicate that the Mero already has the Oracles shell-code at that time. He must get it before M2 ends, since in ETM both Niobe and Ghost meet the new Oracle-shell.
Since programs can’t have kids, it could be a program written in unison by the programs in question. Who those two are is anyones guess. The woman who led Morpheus and Neo to the Oracle in M1 is, for example, nowhere to be seen. And the Oracle is in hiding – in need of protection.
Maybe that is what Seraph is. Some kind of super-AI-programmer, that can provide AI’s with new shells?? (New life?!?)

seraph is the oracles guardian angel
now theyve found the one the priestess and potentials have gone

also in etm when shes talking about the child being really important and he will change both our world and yours forever, seems pretty dam important, but i dont think he will be much - the bros are makin up a story to replace gloria foster...
well see in november

This might be way out in left field, but i think the "guy" that is escorted from the restaurant may be a program that is in command of time. Just as he goes behind the pillar, it seems like there is a sound of a clock, and then Mero. talks about taking time to do things and the Twins think he is funny. I don't know, but doesn't it seem like, if there is a program to govern the wind, gravity, and every lock in the Matrix, that there should be a program to govern time? Maybe he was shown to us then as foreshadowing of his role in the finale. Who knows, except him and the W-ski bros.?

virtually everything happens at 12 o clock
that sounded like a cuckoo chime when neo saw him

mero says
"who has time, who has time? but then if we can never take time, how can we ever have time?"

Here’s the Ghost/Oracle conversation.

Ghost : Can you tell me what happened to you?
Oracle : Two programs that I trusted sold the termination code of my original shell to the Merovingian.
Ghost : Why did they do that?
Oracle : For love. For the life of their child.
Ghost : You knew about it, and yet you let it happen?
Oracle : I had to.
Ghost : Why?
Oracle : Because the child is important. I can't tell you why, but I believe one day, the child will change both our world and your world forever.

Maybe “that guy” is said “child”? We know that both the Oracle and Seraph holds the future to be of the outmost importance. Perhaps the “child” is somehow able to function in both worlds. Both the real and the virtual?
What is left open is:
What two programs sold her code? (One of them could, in principle, be the Architect. But he probably doesn’t know love).
What or who is the program-child?

Actually, Seraph never says that the future is of utmost importance to him. In fact, since i don't believe that the W-ski bros. do anything in their movies as a coincidence, if you go back to the Zion scene, when Morpheus is talking, Morpheus says " i remember that which matters most: we are still here!". As Seraph says, " I protect that which matters most", i believe that the humans are that which matters most, and Seraph is protecting the Oracle b/c she is the way for the humans to live, albeit through Neo. Also, maybe michael is the program-child, hmm?

JediHDM thats exactly what i thought (what morph sed)
