This is Fat Buu from DBS when he fought Moro

No absorption or candy beams.

***If Fat Buu can make it past Buuhan, he fights SSJ Vegito from DBZ.

Buuhan destroys him.

Moro was originally > SS Vegeta. When Vegeta powered up to SSG/SSB he was beyond Moro, but then Moro absorbed all the power of Vegeta AND Goku.

Then Boo entered the fray and was beating the absolute shit out of Moro(/w/ the energy of Goku+Vegeta.)

Fat Buu shouldn't be that far ahead of OG DBZ Fat Buu, is there something I missed?...

Yes, you missed the entire series of Dragon Ball Super.

If we learned anything from it, it's that Tori and TOEI can bring back any old character and upgrade him/her to current power levels in no time.

#17 is pretty much *the* example of that. Guy went from below Imperfect Cell level, to SSB level, just by defending an island from human poachers for a few years.

Well, they do say that unlocking the Kai's memories unlocked Buu's latent power or something. Cause Goku was shocked that Buu was as strong as he was.

17's power jump though, without training...

There was the whole thing of 17 training with some Cell Junior remnants.

Buu had some not insignificant gains when he trained for the first time too prior to the ToP, but that was only in the anime iirc.

So you guys think Fat Buu is above even SSJ Vegito? 😕
