Broly is more powerful

That makes carver really upset

That's a good question that I doubt we'll ever get an answer to.

Like you said, it could be that either:
a.) Once GP eradicates an Angel, he can only resurrect them as a mortal(if he chooses to.)

OR

b.) GP *can* resurrect Angels with all of their powers intact, but he purposefully resurrected Merus without his powers due to the high likelihood of him using them again in battle(which would mean he'd have to be erased a second time.)

That said, even though Merus is mortal, I'm still curious how powerful he actually is now..?

No reason to think GP has any limits at all. Merus broke the rules, and revoked his right to exist, so he was already doing him a favor by reinstating him as a mortal. But his time as an Angel is done.

I more wonder how short his life span is. Beerus is some tens of thousands of years old.

Unless that isn't his natural life span, and immortality is a perk of godhood?

Another question, does Merus retain MUI? And if not, can he earn it like Goku?

Just imagine if Merus replaced Beerus as the new God of Destruction, and worked with Whis.

In the anime, Beerus said that he was hundreds of millions of years old, which makes sense given that he is also who sealed Old Kai in the Z Sword.

With Merus, it really just depends how high his 'ceiling' is now. Presumably he still retained all of his previous knowledge, so re-learning UI might be feasible.

...Unless GP capped his power at a certain level, and he simply cannot become more powerful than he is right now. /shrug

I'm liking the idea for Merus replacing Beerus. That sounds like something Toriyama would actually do too, like Dende become earths new god.

Merus would certainly be a more pro active, competent deity.

And Beerus is less and less likable as a character, so seeing Merus slap him around and kick him out of his job would be satisfying.

It is annoying how useless Beerus has become at this point. I'm still convinced that he is asininely powerful(=/> current MUI Goku, imo), but the guy never lifts a finger to do anything... Even when he should.

I am curious to see how the new arc plays out, though. Because if all the 7-3 androids gain the abilities of the original, then it means that we're potentially going to have several, Merus-level villains running around. Would be nice to see Beerus step up and DO something for a change.

...But knowing Toyotaro, he'll probably just have Goku unlock SSBMUI+KKx20 or some shit, ftw. ermm

Why?

Beerus is an GoD which isn't something that's in character for Merus to be, Also a pro active GoD would not be a fun thing lmao and would cause imbalance in the universe.

Anyone can earn Beerus's spot. Merus would totally be in character gunning for it, for the same reason he wanted the top spot in the Galactic Patrol. Because it puts him in a good position to protect the universe.

The only question is whether Merus has it in him to destroy a world, with people living on it.

Or who knows, maybe he'd find a better way.

And if he couldn't, that in itself it a better story then Beerus ths lazy cat. We get to see a compassionate man assume a job where destroying planets is part of the territory.

👆 It seems very likely.

I hope they follow through on Beerus "paying Goku back" for shouldering the blame on Merus (Even though it was totally his fault for lazing around while Moro wrecked havok)

Preferably Beerus challenges Goku to a "real" fight.

Or I'd even settle for him ordering Whis to beat his ass. (He's probably too proud not to do it himself, but it would be funny if Whis had to follow his order)

But Whis resurrected Frieza and he was just as powerful as his spirit form was. I dont think GP have a limitation when it comes to that. Especially with him being more powerful than Whis who did something>>>>>what GP did.

Also, let's not forget about Kid Buu who was resurrected into Uub.

Vegeta needs to replace Beerus, not Merus.

The rules of the angels also apply to the GP too. Him personally erasing merus and then stripping him of his angel Powers (which is pretty OP) before resurrecting him was just a way to save merus, infact it was the only way as he noted. It simply means even the GP can't defy the angel laws and had to use a loop hole, this was further shown when he was desperate not to lose merus after his battle with Moro and wanted to send him back to the angel realm until whis intervened.

The angel laws, and by definition whoever made them, are above the GP, it's very likely that the rules were made by Zeno.

SBP and Sundipped Superman vs Blue Gogeta, Moro, MUI Goku, Whis

any thoughts on the upcoming Death battle broly vs hulk?
like recently they said they will use old broly together with new broly since they say that they are basically the same??

They showed Hulk punching through time, so they might just wank him with unquantifiable feats.
