But I already went into this. That was a vastly different sleepingnGoku, as much as the Sabertooth and Wolverine Danny fought had less developed powers.

Piccolo was also a demon, instead of an alien, and Goku was just a monkey kid.

Early Goku can tank a gun in his sleep. Modern Goku would get shot clean through, the same way he took a laser, or Krillin got shot.

May as well use modern Superman for Golden Age Superman fights.
