Here’s a quick snippet made of Thomas Sowell answering some questions impose on AOC.

His answers are not regarding AOC per say, but an overall outlook instead.

I especially finds what he said about Canada pretty jarring, when we have multiple players here claims Canada and Britain health care are far better and than the US.

I think he is correct in that those health care systems are better in some ways. Though in other ways, like wait times, they are not.

I haven't watched the video yet but as a Canadian who thinks Sowell is exceptionally intelligent, he is probably correct.

This is correct. American healthcare in general has better and more up to date technologies that allow for better outcomes. The downside is individuals having to be able to afford it. Canada and the UK have good systems but lag behind with a trade off that it is available to all. Although the UK is currently experiencing chronic and deliberate underfunding by its government who are seeking to privatise it one service at a time.

You'd think the us and Canada would just do a summit to help their powers combine(power of heart flows through me) and nail this shit down.

I also for the life of me cannot understand the resistance to change in the USA for our healthcare system, it's predominantly employer driven which has LOTS and LOTS of problems without scratching the surface of the actual health services.

IMO most business owners would benefit from getting health insurance out of their administrative process.

Right. He's simply wrong about healthcare costs and UHC. The facts are piled so sky high about why he is wrong in this area that there's no excuse for one of the most intelligent and well-read people on the planet to still hold such a false idea.
